BizStats engineers the cloud, data, DevOps and AI behind growing businesses, so the tools you already have finally work as one.

The hard part isn't building systems. It's making them work together.

Most organisations already have plenty of technology: applications, databases, cloud accounts, spreadsheets, scripts. Each was added for a good reason. Together they leave data copied by hand, releases that depend on one person, and reports that disagree.

That's where we work — in the connections. We bring integration, automation and engineering discipline to the systems you already have, and build new ones that fit.

Understand. Architect. Engineer. Evolve.

Different problems, same discipline. Whether it's a migration, a data platform or a first AI model, the work moves through four stages — and each one leaves the system clearer than it found it.

  1. Understand

We learn the business objective, the technical constraints and the systems already in place, until we can describe the real problem in plain words.

  2. Architect

We design a solution that fits the requirements, with maintainability, security and day-to-day operations considered from the start.

  3. Engineer

We build, integrate, automate, test and deploy, so the solution runs in your environment rather than only in a demo.

  4. Evolve

We measure how it performs, improve reliability, simplify operations and adapt the system as the business grows.

Capabilities that fit together.

Our work falls into six areas. Most projects touch more than one, which is exactly why we treat them as a single engineering discipline.

Cloud and infrastructure

Infrastructure you don't have to think about.

We design, migrate and look after the infrastructure your applications run on: moving workloads from ageing servers to the cloud, designing networks and servers, and providing managed IT that works as your outsourced IT department.

  • Migration from VMs and on-premise servers to the cloud
  • Network and server design, including LAN/WAN
  • Managed IT with proactive monitoring
  • On-site and remote support
Applications move from on-premise servers to the cloud in four stages: discover, develop, validate, migrate.

DevOps and automation

From commit to release, without the ceremony.

We automate the path from a developer's change to a running release: development environments that set up in one step, continuous integration that builds and tests every commit, and release workflows you can repeat.

  • Shareable development environments built on containers
  • Continuous integration with failure alerts
  • Release management
  • Automation for on-premise and cloud infrastructure
Every change loops through commit, build, test, release and monitoring, with an alert when a test fails.

Data and business intelligence

One version of the numbers.

We turn data spread across applications and spreadsheets into a warehouse, clearly defined KPIs and dashboards people trust, so every meeting starts from the same numbers.

  • Identifying the KPIs that matter
  • Data warehousing
  • Reports and dashboards
  • Integration with existing databases and business applications
Data from separate systems is integrated into one warehouse that feeds a shared set of KPIs.

AI and machine learning

Models that earn their place.

We build machine learning models for specific business questions — classification, regression, clustering and forecasting — with evaluation built in, so you know how far to trust the output.

  • Custom models, from data gathering to prediction
  • Prediction modelling for risks and opportunities
  • Fraud detection, retention, segmentation and forecasting
  • Results delivered into applications, reports or APIs
Inputs pass through a trained model to a prediction with its confidence range; evaluation feeds back into the model.

Big data and APIs

Everything connected through clean interfaces.

We process high-volume data and deliver the results through APIs, including real-time notifications for major events and KPI shifts. The APIs hide the complexity so your developers can plug capabilities into the systems you already run.

  • Real-time notifications for events and KPI impacts
  • Analytics and predictions exposed as APIs
  • Prebuilt integrations with existing systems
  • Apache Hadoop ecosystem
Applications and data platforms exchange information through one API layer, including real-time notifications.

Testing and digital learning

Online exams, end to end.

We help coaching institutes and training teams run their own online test environments: question banks, scheduled exams, automatic correction and performance reports.

  • Question banks with equations, images and six question types
  • Scheduled exams for multiple batches
  • Automatic correction and instant or scheduled reports
  • Student performance analysis and leaderboards
Questions become scheduled exams for multiple batches, corrected automatically into results and leaderboards.

From business problem to engineered possibility.

Four situations we see often. Each one starts as a business problem, gets an engineering approach, and ends with a system that is easier to run. These are illustrations of how we work, not accounts of specific client projects.

Illustrative scenario: a typical situation, not a client case study.

Infrastructure complexity

  1. An organisation runs several systems across different environments, and keeps them going through manual operational work.

  2. Assess the architecture, identify the bottlenecks, improve the deployment workflows and introduce automation where it pays off.

  3. A clearer, more maintainable operating environment that is easier to change.

Judgement first. Technology second.

Choosing a technology partner is really choosing how decisions get made on your behalf. These five principles guide ours, on every project and at every size.

  • Problem before technology

We understand what the business needs to achieve before recommending anything. Sometimes the right answer is a smaller change than expected.

  • Connected thinking

Software, infrastructure, data and automation behave as one system in production, so we design them as one.

  • Built to be operated

We aim for solutions your team can run, monitor and maintain, not impressive demonstrations that need us forever.

  • Purposeful technology

Tools are chosen for the requirements in front of us, not forced into the same architecture every time.

  • A long view

Maintainability, integration and reliability matter most in year three, so we plan for them in week one.

The technology underneath.

Almost every system we work on has the same six layers. Here is what each one does, and the technologies our team works with there. Problems rarely stay inside one layer, so neither do we.

  1. Applications

The software people use: data-driven and education applications.

    • Python
    • Django
    • Java
    • Ruby on Rails
    • React
  2. Integration

APIs and connectors that let systems exchange data.

    • REST APIs
    • SnapLogic
    • SAP
    • Salesforce
    • Workday
  3. Data

Where information is stored, combined and prepared for analysis.

    • MySQL
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Oracle
    • MongoDB
    • Teradata
    • Apache Hadoop
    • Cloudera
  4. Intelligence

Analytics and models that turn data into decisions.

    • Dashboards and KPIs
    • Regression
    • Decision trees
    • Clustering
    • Neural networks
    • Deep learning
  5. Infrastructure

The compute, network and cloud platforms underneath.

    • Amazon Web Services
    • Google Cloud
    • VMware
    • OpenStack
    • Ubuntu
    • Red Hat
  6. Operations

How it is all built, deployed and kept running.

    • Docker
    • Kubernetes
    • Terraform
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Apache HTTP Server
    • Monitoring and alerts

Good engineering changes what's possible.

BizStats has been building software and systems from Chennai since 2015. The team brings together IT professionals with different specialities, and that mix shapes how we work: most real problems cross the boundaries between infrastructure, software and data, so we look at the whole system before changing any part of it.

We like problems that are messy at the start — systems that have grown for years, data nobody fully trusts, processes that depend on a few people. And we plan for what comes after launch day: monitoring, maintenance, and changes that don't break what already works.

Where we're putting our attention.

Technology keeps getting more connected, and so do the problems businesses bring us. These are the directions we are investing in — practical ones, grounded in engineering rather than predictions.

  • Practical AI adoption

AI applied where the data and the process can support it, evaluated honestly and integrated into everyday work.

  • Automation people can trust

Automated pipelines with monitoring and alerts, so teams know what ran, what failed and why.

  • Connected by default

Systems designed with APIs and integration from the start, instead of bolted together later.

  • Infrastructure that is easy to change

Reproducible environments and infrastructure described as code, so change is routine rather than risky.

  • Data people believe

Clear definitions and shared sources, so analytics informs decisions instead of starting arguments.
